A Christmas Yarn – plus giveaway

A Christmas Yarn is now available for pre-order! And to celebrate, I’m having a little giveaway. Check out the Rafflecopter widget at the end of the post.

Blurb: Librarian Gavin MacCauley isn’t expecting any surprises this holiday season. It’s the usual rush of helping patrons, and knitting items to donate to the local hospital. But his world is turned upside down by the cutie who walks into knitting club looking to learn how to crochet a scarf.

Jonathan Mercier has just moved to town and is desperate to find a new craft for his traditional, handmade gift for the aunt who adopted him. When his elderly neighbor strong-arms him into attending the library’s knitting and crochet club, he falls hard for the kind (and hot!) librarian running the class.

But with Christmas coming, and time running out to finish the gift, will these two find the time for each other?

Soundtrack for Love in the Time of Hurricanes

Love in the Time of Hurricanes will be out in just a few days! To tide you over until the release, I wanted to share a mini-soundtrack. Quite honestly, I had “Born to Run” in my head most of the time while I was writing, but I picked out a few different songs that have different meaning for various points in the story.

The Lou Monte song listed below is the one I pictured Lou dancing to during the scene where he’s trying to distract Nick from the hurricane. The record he’s listening to is based on one I had while growing up, called Aunt Carmela’s Italian favorites. (I actually managed to snag the actual record from my parents before they moved. Don’t tell my brother!)

I hope you enjoy Love in the Time of Hurricanes, and have fun matching the songs to parts ofthe story!

  1. Born to Run – Bruce Springsteen
  2. Under the Boardwalk – The Drifters
  3. Che La Luna Mezzo Mare – Lou Monte
  4. Dancing in the Dark – Bruce Springsteen
  5. This House is Not for Sale – Jon Bon Jovi
  6. It’s My Life – Bon Jovi
